They will participate partially in the Japan International DX (JIDX) Contest CW on the Saturday and Sunday, but non-JA stations are welcome to call even when they make “CQ TEST”. (The stations who don’t participate JIDX contest don’t have to send any contest numbers.)

I am taking part in a United Nations mission in Haiti. I landed November 17th 2015 and will be operating portable until November 17th 2016. I am stationed in Port Au Prince but will be in other parts of the country as well. Thus far there has been a keen interest in my HF activity logging over 2,000 QSO since January. This is when I received my authorization to operate from the Haitian Government.

NEWS UPDATE – All is going pretty well. We reached 50K QSO last night and we continue to run the pile-ups that are at certain time of the day really big. We try to exploit the bands from their opening till the end of the propagation. This allow us to work all continents from East to West and log many unique callsigns.
We have to report a lot of dupes in the log, despite the online-log that is available on Club Log. We ask you not to call again until the log is online in order to give a chance to other stations.
Last night was very noisy on low bands and even with RX antennas we met difficulties to pick up calls. We’ll keep our efforts every night up to the end of the operation.
Weather is still good but heat is terrible in absence of wind. In the shelters we are well over the 50° celcius during many hours of the day. This makes the operation complicated and we are taking regular short breaks to fresh-up a bit.
To conclude we remind everyone that operator’s instructions have a real importance! Fighting during 5 minutes to keep the pile-up QRX is a waste of energy and we would really appreciate a better cooperation.

NOUVELLES MISE À JOUR
– Tout va assez bien. Nous sommes arrivés à 50K QSO hier soir et nous continuons à exécuter les carambolages qui sont à un certain moment de la journée vraiment grand. Nous essayons d’exploiter les bandes de leur ouverture jusqu’à la fin de la propagation. Cela nous permet de travailler tous les continents de l’Est à l’Ouest et enregistrons de nombreux callsigns uniques.
Nous devons signaler beaucoup de dupes dans le journal, en dépit de la ligne-journal qui est disponible sur Club Log. Nous vous demandons de ne pas appeler à nouveau jusqu’à ce que le journal est en ligne afin de donner une chance d’autre soir stations.
Last était très bruyant sur les bandes basses et même avec des antennes RX, nous avons rencontré des difficultés à prendre les appels. Nous allons continuer nos efforts tous les soirs jusqu’à la fin de la operation.
Weather est toujours bonne, mais la chaleur est terrible absence de vent. Dans les abris, nous sommes bien au-delà de 50 ° celcius pendant de nombreuses heures de la journée. Cela rend l’opération compliquée et nous prenons de courtes pauses régulières fraîchement un bit.To nous venons de rappeler à tous que les instructions de l’opérateur ont une réelle importance! Combattre pendant 5 minutes pour garder le QRX de pile-up

“Prop is not good from here to anywhere, and hasn’t been all day. We are making occasional Qs on 20, but no real runs. Alan’s (VK6CQ) experience is that this sort of event shuts prop completely down here, but that it should recover relatively quickly. However, looking at Spaceweather, it might be a lengthy event.”

FINAL PRESS RELEASE
In just 3 weeks from now, the A91HI DXpedition team will assemble in Al Dar, Bahrain to prepare for their departure to Hawar Island AS-202 NEW. Since our last update, the team have been rather busy. All equipment has been shipped and has already arrived safely in Bahrain. Everything is good to go with all necessary clearances, permits and licenses in hand.
Please give a big welcome to Charles M0OXO as our QSL manager. As we will now have internet on the island, Charles plans to upload each day to Club Log. This will help to minimise any dupes.
We will be QRV with up to 5 stations at any one time. A comprehensive range of VDAs, verticals and SP7IDX technology Hexbeam antennas will be used to ensure good signals into all geographical areas of the world. We aim to work as many unique stations as possible to give out this brand new IOTA, therefore we will only operate from 40m through 10m; CW, SSB and Digital.

En seulement 3 semaines à partir de maintenant, l’équipe de DXpedition de A91HI assemblera à Al Dar, Bahreïn pour se préparer à leur départ pour l’île de Hawar AS-202 NOUVEAU. Depuis notre dernière mise à jour, l’équipe a été plutôt occupé. Tout le matériel a été expédié et est déjà arrivé en toute sécurité à Bahreïn. Tout est bon pour aller avec toutes les autorisations nécessaires, les permis et licences en main.
S’il vous plaît donner un grand bienvenue à Charles M0OXO que notre manager QSL. Comme nous allons maintenant avoir Internet sur l’île, Charles envisage de télécharger chaque jour au Club Log. Cela aidera à minimiser les dupes.
Nous serons QRV jusqu’à 5 stations à un moment donné. Une gamme complète de VDAS, verticales et des technologies de SP7IDX antennes Hexbeam sera utilisé pour assurer de bons signaux dans toutes les zones géographiques du monde. NEWS UPDATE – RX antennas have been set today for EU/NA, JA & West-Coast. They will setup a 4 SQ for 40m tomorrow. Right now, only single vertical is running on 40m. They will move their TX QRG on TB. 1821.5 has been suggested. Waiting to get more info about noise they have to deal with.
