Earlier this year DX-World auctioned some signed flags by team members of VP8STI/VP8SGI and FT4JA.
Mario I2HBW won the flags and as since framed them. They now sit pride of place on his shack wall.
Readers may be interested to know that Mario’s QTH was a 150 year old farm, abandoned and in pieces when he bought it. It then took four years to restore and turn into a residence. Mario says it’s a good place for radio, on top of a hill and with a 360° clear view all around.

Plus tôt cette année DX-World aux enchères des drapeaux signés par les membres de l’équipe de VP8STI/VP8SGI et FT4JA.
Mario I2HBW a remporté les drapeaux et que depuis leur encadrée. Ils siègent désormais à l’honneur sur son mur cabane.
Les lecteurs peuvent être intéressés de savoir que le QTH de Mario était une ancienne ferme de 150 ans, abandonné et en morceaux quand il l’a acheté. Il a ensuite fallu quatre ans pour restaurer et se transformer en une résidence. Mario dit qu’il est un bon endroit pour la radio, au sommet d’une colline et avec une vue à 360 ° clair tout autour

UPDATE – The team arrived last Friday (20th) and have set up operating stations and antennas.
Only using two 80m dipoles at about 20m above ground strung between the large tall Norfolk Pine trees. The RTTY station has a 20m 1/4 wave ground plane with elevated radials. Tomorrow we will be putting up a 40/15m radiator with it too. Tomorrow we plane to put up the160m inverted L.
Keep an ear out for us, check the dxclusters for our operation activities.

Mise à Jour – L’équipe est arrivée vendredi dernier (20) et ont mis en place des stations d’exploitation et des antennes.
en utilisant seulement deux dipôles 80m à environ 20m au dessus du sol tendu entre les grands arbres Norfolk grands pins. La station RTTY a un plan de masse 20m 1/4 d’onde avec radians élevées. Demain, nous allons mettre en place un radiateur 40 / 15m avec elle aussi. Demain, nous plan pour mettre en place the160m inversé L.
Gardez une oreille pour nous, vérifier les dxclusters pour nos activités d’exploitation.

February 16, 2016 – The “6G” team that operated from TX6G (Australs – 2014) and E6GG (Niue – 2015) will be on Chatham Island from 27 October to 10 November 2016. The location has excellent short and long path take off towards Europe where ZL7 is still high on the wanted list.
As in previous expeditions, operation will be 160-10m CW, SSB and RTTY, with up to four stations active at any one time using callsign ZL7G.

16 février 2016 – L’équipe « 6G » qui opérait à partir TX6G (Australs – 2014) et E6GG (Niue – 2015) sera sur l’île de Chatham du 27 Octobre au 10 Novembre 2016. L’emplacement est un excellent chemin court et à long décoller vers l’Europe où ZL7 est encore élevé sur la liste des personnes recherchées
Comme dans les précédentes expéditions, le fonctionnement sera 160-10m CW, SSB et RTTY, avec jusqu’à quatre stations actives à tout moment en utilisant callsign ZL7G.
