VP8CLE & VP8DKW will be operating from the Falklands in January and February 2017, visiting places such as Saunders, Bleaker and East Falkland islands.
We have accommodation booked from mid January for three weeks. The first week will be at The Rookery on Saunders. The second on Bleaker. We have been to both places before. We liked them so much we decided to go and stay again for a little longer. The final week will be in Stanley.

VP8CLE & VP8DKW sera opérationnel des Malouines en Janvier et Février 2017, en visitant des endroits tels que Saunders, Bleaker et les îles Falkland Est.
Nous avons réservé un hébergement à partir de mi Janvier pendant trois semaines. La première semaine sera à The Rookery sur Saunders. Le second sur Bleaker. Nous avons été à deux endroits avant. Nous les aimions tellement nous avons décidé d’aller et de rester encore un peu plus longtemps. La dernière semaine sera Stanley.

During September (dates to be confirmed), Andy VK5MAV plans to activate the Lacepede Islands OC-214. It will be one-man expedition due to very strict weight limitation.
Plan is to operate from for 4 days/3 nights. The island sits reasonably high in IOTA Most Wanted list and Andy hopes demand will be quite high – he’s actively looking for sponsors – the island is remote, uninhabited and cost of logistics is “awful”.

Au cours de Septembre (dates à confirmer), Andy VK5MAV prévoit d’activer le Lacepede Islands OC-214. Ce sera un homme expédition en raison de la limitation de poids très stricte.
PPlan est d’opérer à partir de 4 jours / 3 nuits. L’île se trouve assez haut dans la liste Most Wanted IOTA et Andy espère la demande sera très élevé – il est activement à la recherche de sponsors – l’île est distant, inhabitée et le coût de la logistique est « horrible ».

Mis à jour – Stan, LZ1GC et Emil, DL8JJ sont prêts pour leur DXpedition! Aujourd’hui, ils ont reçu un email de confirmation approuvant l’utilisation de H44GC callsigns. Dans les 2 prochaines semaines, ils auront leur licence en main.
