We would sail on the Reef Endeavour from Fiji along with the TIGHAR organization which has been searching to learn where Amelia Earhart might have met her demise.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.betchartexpeditions.com\/aus-nz_amelia_earhart.htm\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.betchartexpeditions.com\/aus-nz_amelia_earhart.htm<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m in touch with the organizers and they are OK with having a group set up tents, tables and antennas for a DXpedition. They will be providing transportation back and forth from the island to the cruise ship twice a day, so operators can eat and sleep on the ship if desired. I cruised on this ship in Fiji and know the diving facilities and staff are first-rate. Nikumaroro is a remote uninhabited island in the Phoenix Islands Protected Area so this would also provide diving experiences of a lifetime. And for non-divers they have a nice glass bottom boat too.<\/p>\n<p>And, if these guys are right about Amelia ditching on Nikumaroro and find her aircraft off the reef, well, wouldn\u2019t it be cool to be there?<\/p>\n<p>Of course, Dom\u2019s (3Z9DX) recent T31 activation on Kanton Island took a bite out of demand for this rare DXCC, yet it still remains #17 on the Clublog global most wanted list. I\u2019m considering going but need a few more operators to make the logistics work out in getting all of the gear to Fiji we would need to make a serious effort. Ils fourniront le transport aller-retour de l&rsquo;\u00eele au bateau de croisi\u00e8re deux fois par jour, ainsi les op\u00e9rateurs peuvent manger et dormir sur le bateau si d\u00e9sir\u00e9. J&rsquo;ai navigu\u00e9 sur ce navire \u00e0 Fidji et de conna\u00eetre les plong\u00e9es et le personnel est de premier ordre. Nikumaroro est une \u00eele isol\u00e9e et d\u00e9serte dans la zone prot\u00e9g\u00e9e des \u00eeles Ph\u0153nix, ce qui fournirait \u00e9galement des exp\u00e9riences de plong\u00e9e d&rsquo;une vie.
