That is the hotel from which XX9TGM and XX9TYT have worked  recently. You can find a lot of information in the story from Gerben, PG5M  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dx.to\/dxpeditions\/asia\/xx9tgm-macau\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http:\/\/www.dx.to\/dxpeditions\/asia\/xx9tgm-macau', 'http:\/\/www.dx.to\/dxpeditions\/asia\/xx9tgm-macau');\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.dx.to\/dxpeditions\/asia\/xx9tgm-macau<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The hill behind the hotel is not the property of the Resort, but would have been rather ideal as an antenna-ground. Unfortunately the owner doesn\u2019t wish any antenna setup there. We got the permission from the hotel to set up antennas on the balconies. That means, the maximum distance between our planned 5 antenna masts will be around 40 meters and we need special constructions to fix the masts on the balconies. We have booked 6 of the 8 rooms with balconies on top floor including a separate room as a shack.  For this special situation with three 500 watts stations we have optimized our technical equipment. There will be a collection of vertical and horizontal antennas, which will be used flexible. As there is no space for our spider beams we have to use a hexbeam, which we got on loan from SP7IDX. Thanks Waldi! It will be used on 20\/15\/10 meters with a triplexer. Our antennas have to be relative close together, so we have to take special precautions in filtering and blocking. We will have small W3NQN bandfilters between transceivers and amps and additional high power bandfilters from DG0SA between amplifiers and antennas on each band. New high quality coax cables, current baluns and common-mode filters are prepared and will be fixed on each antenna and station. Besides that we will take special care for line-noise filtering. Depending on the local situation we will see what we can do on 160 m, it is unpredictable in this moment, but we will do our best. The overall situation for all bands is a fair takeoff to the north and a very good one to the south (Long path North America).<\/p>\n<p>We are planning to join the ARRL International DX Contest in CW (18.\/19. Malheureusement, le propri\u00e9taire ne souhaite pas d&rsquo;installation d&rsquo;antenne. Nous avons obtenu la permission de l&rsquo;h\u00f4tel pour installer des antennes sur les balcons. Cela signifie que la distance maximale entre nos 5 m\u00e2ts d&rsquo;antenne pr\u00e9vus sera d&rsquo;environ 40 m\u00e8tres et nous avons besoin de constructions sp\u00e9ciales pour fixer les m\u00e2ts sur les balcons. Nous avons r\u00e9serv\u00e9 6 des 8 chambres avec balcon au dernier \u00e9tage, y compris une chambre s\u00e9par\u00e9e comme une cabane. Pour cette situation particuli\u00e8re avec trois stations de 500 watts, nous avons optimis\u00e9 notre \u00e9quipement technique. Nous aurons de petits filtres de bande W3NQN entre \u00e9metteurs-r\u00e9cepteurs et amplificateurs et des filtres de bande de puissance suppl\u00e9mentaires de DG0SA entre les amplificateurs et les antennes sur chaque bande. De nouveaux c\u00e2bles coaxiaux de haute qualit\u00e9, des baluns actuels et des filtres en mode commun sont pr\u00e9par\u00e9s et seront fix\u00e9s sur chaque antenne et station. En outre, nous veillerons particuli\u00e8rement au filtrage du bruit de ligne. Selon la situation locale, nous verrons ce que nous pouvons faire sur 160 m, il est impr\u00e9visible en ce moment, mais nous ferons de notre mieux.
