With the help of our in-country contacts, we have made much progress with our requests to visit the new XZ island groups. We already have agreement in principal for licences. Unfortunately, there is some instability in the country now and the military are busy with this. As a result we cannot yet get permission to visit the islands and so our Dxpedition is on hold. We will update the DX community when we eventually get clearance to visit these new IOTAs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>SM6CVX, G3KHZ, G4EDG, K5WQG, SM6CAS, SM6WYN<\/p>\n<p><b>SEPTEMBER 21, 2016<\/b> &#8211; We herewith have to inform the IOTA community that our Myanmar\/XZ IOTA-DXpedition to some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsgbiota.org\/info\/directory\/AS.pdf\" onclick=\"__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'download', 'https:\/\/www.rsgbiota.org\/info\/directory\/AS.pdf');\" target=\"_blank\">new IOTAs<\/a> has to be delayed.<\/p>\n<p>There were elections in Myanmar in November 2015 and we had to resubmit all our documentation. The new administration has now been selected but they need time to have new rules established.<\/p>\n<p>All domestic logistics are in place through our local Myanmar contact. He is also in weekly contact with 3 different ministerial departments and has indicated to us that the first weeks of February 2017 seems to be a good time slot for our DXpedition.<\/p>\n<p>We cannot push harder. We must be patient. But we have every hope of activating new Myanmar IOTAs. La nouvelle administration a maintenant \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e mais il faut du temps pour que de nouvelles r\u00e8gles soient \u00e9tablies.<\/p>\n<p>Toute la logistique int\u00e9rieure est en place \u00e0 travers notre contact local Myanmar. Il est \u00e9galement en contact hebdomadaire avec 3 d\u00e9partements minist\u00e9riels diff\u00e9rents et nous a indiqu\u00e9 que les premi\u00e8res semaines de f\u00e9vrier 2017 semblent \u00eatre un bon cr\u00e9neau horaire pour notre DXpedition.<\/p>\n<p>Nous ne pouvons pas pousser plus fort. Nous devons \u00eatre patients. Mais nous avons tous les espoirs d&rsquo;activer de nouvelles IOTA au Myanmar.
