6\u00d8 Years of the Antarctic Treaty System (ATS). First Special Call OE6\u00d8ANT assigned by Austria to OE3MDA<\/span><\/strong><\/center><\/p>\n

The Antarctic Treaty System<\/strong> (ATS) was entered into force in 1961. So this year it\u2019s the 60th Anniversary<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

WAP (www.waponline.it<\/a>) wish to promote the participation of the Ham Radio world to mark the celebration. <\/p>\n

The idea is that at least all the 12 original signatory countries (or even more) would initiate an activation with one or more SES ( as for example <\/em>EA6\u00d8ANT, CE60ANT,
\nPYxANT, YV6\u00d8ITS, LU6\u00d8ANT, KC6\u00d8ATS, etc.<\/em>) for a limited timeframe in autumn this year 2021, similar to what we do for the Antarctic Activity Week\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n

The event will be open worldwide to the Hams who would like to join. Proposed run is October 1st<\/sup>, through December 31st<\/sup> 2021, but this lapse is not mandatory.
\nParticipants with special callsign will get a related WAP-Reference number.<\/p>\n

A free ATS 6\u00d8 <\/strong>online Award<\/strong> will be issued to mark the participation. An invite to draw one or more specific Awards for this particular event, is still
\nopen to Clubs, printers or individuals.<\/p>\n

So far, Hams from the following Countries: Germany<\/strong>,<\/span> Bulgaria<\/span><\/strong>, Chile<\/span><\/strong>, UK<\/strong><\/span>, Italy<\/strong><\/span> have the special
\ncallsigns in the \u201cApplication Process\u201d, waiting for confirmation. Hams from other Countries are also planning their participation and gradually they will let us know
\nChile<\/strong> <\/span>, thanks to Ricardo Velazquez CE3HDI<\/strong>, President Radio Club Aeronautico<\/strong> – Chile
\n<\/strong> – CE3RAC<\/strong> has requested CE6\u00d8ANT<\/strong>, GM\u00d8GAV<\/strong> has requested GB6\u00d8ANT<\/strong>. Currently Germany has 2 Special Calls
\nwaiting for confirmation.<\/p>\n

OE3DMA Alex Wagner<\/strong> have just received from the authorities his OE6\u00d8ANT <\/strong>and his operating period will be July 1st<\/sup> to dec.31st<\/sup> 2021.
\n WAP special reference to OE6\u00d8 ANT has been issued as WAP-315<\/strong>. Congrats Alex<\/strong>, great shot!<\/strong><\/p>\n

WAP<\/strong> asks those interested to participate in the event with a SES , to send a mail to:

\nparticipation and issuing the WAP Reference number, related to the Special Callsign.<\/p>\n
