We left mainland Bahrain shortly after 10am local for the 45 minute speed boat trip to Hawar. Excitement and anticipation was endless amongst the team as the first glimpse of the soon to be newly activated IOTA came into view.<\/p>\n

A beating sunshine with exhausting heat made antenna assembly quite difficult, but shortly before 19:00Z we started operations on 17SSB, soon followed by 20SSB.<\/p>\n

First pileups as huge as we expected!<\/p>\n

There\u2019s been many new pictures sent to our Twitter page (@A9_IOTA) today, and will be in the future, too. We\u2019ve also successfully tested a live stream on twitter, too.<\/p>\n

L’excitation et l’anticipation \u00e9tait sans fin entre l’\u00e9quipe en tant que premier aper\u00e7u de la bient\u00f4t \u00eatre nouvellement activ\u00e9 IOTA est en vue.<\/p>\n

Un soleil frappant avec \u00e9vacuant l’air chaud fait antenne ensemble assez difficile, mais peu de temps avant le 19: 00Z, nous avons commenc\u00e9 les op\u00e9rations sur 17SSB, bient\u00f4t suivie par 20SSB.<\/p>\n

Premi\u00e8res pileups aussi \u00e9norme que nous nous attendions!<\/p>\n
